Handling Mailchimp Unsubscribes

The purpose of this webhook is to give Mailchimp a way to communicate back contact/lead requests to unsubscribe in EngageCRM. Please complete this before sending your first Mailchimp campaign. This method can not retroactively unsubscribe leads.
AlertIMPORTANT: This step has to be completed for each audience/list you are syncing from your EngageCRM
  1. From any page of your Command Center, you can locate your webhook by going to Settings.
  2. Under Export Leads locate Mailchimp
  3. Highlight and copy your unique Mailchimp Webhook URL
    (ex. https://new.swsecure.com/webapi/MailchimpPublic/MailchimpWebhooks?id=A#A#)
The rest of the instructions below are to be completed in your Mailchimp account.
  1. Log into Mailchimp and navigate to Audience.
  2. Select the Audience you want to work within the Current Audience dropdown
  3. Click the Manage Audience dropdown button and select Settings.
  4. On the Settings page, click Webhooks.
  5. Click the Create New Webhook button.
  6. In the Callback URL field, paste the webhook URL you copied in step 3 above.
  7. For the purpose of this guide, select only Unsubscribes.
  8. Click Save to save your new webhook.
Your webhook will now notify your EngageCRM of every unsubscription event as it occurs in Mailchimp.
