Gmail Email Password Setup Instructions (WITH two-step verification)

By default, due to security concerns, Google does not allow IMAP and SMTP access to your Gmail account using your regular Google credentials. You will need to log in to your Google Account with your browser and change your settings to allow this.
  1. Go to Manage your Google Account and On the left-hand side, click Security.
  2. In the How you sign in to Google section, you should see a green check mark icon next to 2-Step Verification
