Congratulations on making the decision to start using the StayInContact Multi-Channel Messenger. There are a couple things you’ll need to get started:
One of the most critical elements of the StayInContact system is the phone number selected for your user account. This will allow you to place voice calls, and send SMS messages to your contacts directly from the StayInContact app. For existing EngageCE users, the good news is that you already have your number!
IMPORTANT - Once you have activated your StayInContact account, you will only be able to place and receive calls from within the new StayInContact system - you will no longer be able to use the calling features within EngageCE.
If you are new to SuccessWebsite’s communication tools, you will first need to choose your Engage/StayInContact number. For detailed instructions on how to select your new number, please see:
2. Email Configuration
The next component in the powerful Multi-Channel Communication tool is your email address. You will need to configure your existing email address within your SuccessWebsite Command Center.
The StayInContact mobile application is available in both major mobile platforms - iOS and Android, and will require the installation of two separate apps - the main StayInContact app and the StayInContact Talk app. Once installed, you will only need to interact with the main app, as the Talk app operates in the background.
a. iOS App Installation

After you have installed the app, and opened it for the first time you will be prompted to allow StayInContact to send you notifications on your mobile device - please be sure to select ‘Allow’:
Next you will need to install the companion app, Talk StayInContact. Please click the link below, or search the app store for ‘Talk StayInContact’
After you have installed the app, and opened it for the first time you will be prompted to allow Talk StayInContact to access the microphone on your mobile device - please be sure to select ‘OK’:
b. Android App Installation
The android app requires more permissions than iOS, and it is likely that these instructions and screenshots may not exactly match what everyone sees on their own devices - this is simply due to the many different versions and customizations of the Android operating system that exist.

After you have installed the app, and opened it for the first time you will be provided with a series of prompts to configure the app on your device.
- Allow Talk StayInContact to record audio? Select ‘While using the app’
- Allow Talk StayInContact to make and manage phone calls? Select ‘Allow’
- StayInContact needs access to your Phone accounts to make calls. Select ‘OK’
- Under ‘Calling accounts’ switch the toggle to the on position for Talk StayInContact
There are two options for activating your StayInContact account, and both are very quick and easy! In either case, it simply requires you to login into StayInContact with your Command Center username and password.
a. Web Application
Next, you will be presented with the Activation screen, on which you will click the ‘ACTIVATE’ button.
IMPORTANT - If you are migrating from EngageCE, upon activation of StayInContact, all voice calls, inbound and outbound will now exclusively be handled by the new StayInContact application - you will no longer be able to use the calling features within EngageCE.
b. Mobile Application
For the mobile application, the process is essentially the same. First open the StayInContact APP on your mobile device. Then enter your existing username and password.
Next, you will be presented with the Activation screen, on which you will click the ‘ACTIVATE’ button.
