The StayInContact Groups feature gives you the ability to sort and filter contacts to build custom follow-up lists and segments. Groups also features EngageCE segment integration making the transition to StayInContact that much easier!
Contact Lists are the most basic method of manually organizing contacts. With a list you are creating a static list of contacts based on any criteria you choose. The difference between a list and a filter is that the contents of a list can only change if manually modified by a user.
Creating a new Contact List:
- Within the ‘All Contacts’, select one or more Contacts for the new group.
- Select the icon ‘Create Contact Group’
- Enter a name for the new contact group
- Click ‘OK; to save
A Contact Filter is different from a list in that its contents are dynamically changed based on criteria selected for the list.
- Select the ‘Filters’ icon
- Select the ‘ADD CONDITION’ link and choose your filtering criteria - In this example, it we have chose to filter for ‘Tags’ that include ‘New-Lead’
- Create and save your new filter by click the ‘APPLY & SAVE’ button
- Enter a name for the new contact filter
- Click ‘SAVE’ to save
Examples of Contact Filter usage:
Filtered group of contacts owned by specific user
Filtered group of contacts organized by tags
Filtered group of contacts by contact type - buyer or seller
3. EngageCE Segments
EngageCE Segments are a special category of contact organization, which are integrated from the EngageCE platform. This is especially useful for users migrating to StayInContact from EngageCE. This allows for your existing segments to function within the StayInContact environment.
Examples of EngageCE Segment usage:
Segments based on Engage Callback dates
Segments based on contact Registration dates
